Provide leadership, accountability and lifecycle strategic procurement expertise for managing and optimising all Corporate Services, Facilities and Property, and Human Resources-related category spend across WorkSafe, worth approximately $90m per annum. This includes:- Overseeing and governing all procurement activity across WorkSafe spanning the following sub-categories: - Corporate Services: Banking, Couriers and Postage, Printing, Fleet, Office Supplies. Travel and Entertainment, and Warehousing and Storage - Facilities and Property – Construction and Fitout, Environmental Management, Hard and Soft Facilities Management, Property Rental, and Utilities - Human Resources – People and Training, Staff Recruiting services, and Temporary Personnel services- Leading and executing all high value and complexity procurements and supply chain opportunities- Developing and delivering the annual procurement Program of Work relevant initiatives, including achieving target benefits- Acting as a single point of escalation for any systemic, contractual or commercial procurement issues- Developing and executing all long-term strategic category plans, as well as for key vendors and associated contracts- Identifying, designing and executing innovative procurement opportunities

Leading a high-performing team responsible for the development and oversight of the strategic and operational aspects of WorkSafe’s Oracle Cloud Financial Platform (Oracle) for all procurement-related processes, while also driving transactional spend compliance with WorkSafe’s Procurement Policy, Framework, Category Strategies, and any other relevant policy or procedure.

• Management responsibility all procurement activities including supplier selection & management, sourcing, negotiating, governance and ESG procurement strategies • Direct management of 4 staff • Addressable spend of ~$20m annually Responsibilities• Development and execution of supplier performance and relationship management framework• Lead Strategic Buying Council in reviewing and executing procurement opportunities across all spend categories• Oversee negotiation, renewal, and stakeholder compliance with all supplier contracts• Lead the Purchasing team in delivering a high level of service to internal customers• Advising Executive Management team on strategic and tactical opportunities and risks related to all spend categories across the broader corporate group• Establish framework for monitoring supplier compliance with health & safety, social responsibility and environment benchmarks

Executive responsibility for Health & Safety, Quality & Environment, Manufacturing, Logistics and Procurement reporting to Managing Director• Direct management of national team of 8 functional managers, indirect reporting of 120 staff nationally• Annual budget development for operational & supply chain activities, including forecasting for operational costs & savings, production volumes and staff requirements• Establish, review, revise, communicate and ensure compliance with organizational governance policies related to code of business conduct, spend controls & management, quality assurance requirements, environmental sustainability, protection of human rights, and other relevant legislative requirements• Development of strategic excellence initiatives to drive improvements in all operational and supply chain activities and monthly performance reporting to global leadership team (GLT)• Monthly executive review of P/L performance against budget, identify improvement areas against organizational objectives• Lead monthly P/L briefings with and performance reviews with functional managers to identify and initiate improvement opportunities• Lead weekly functional pulse calls to review operational performance to targets and initiate urgent rectification actions if required• Attend daily S&OP calls to provide support to team leaders on daily performance to target objectives• Lead and oversee implementation of material savings initiatives aligned with organizational strategic objectives and monthly reviews to assess performance to target• Lead and oversee compliance of global sourcing initiatives with organizational and legislative requirements for sustainability and protection of human rights and quarterly review to assess progress• Monthly supplier reviews to assess performance to target and initiate rectification actions if required• Review of logistics plans for major project delivery to ensure safety, cost, and performance measures will be met

• Operated and managed all elements of the business from start-up to acquisition by Aus Pits in 2016• Budget planning and development, including S&OP forecasting, pricing strategy, cost management and P/L projections• Fiscal management, including accounts payable/receivable, BAS, general account management, leasing and contract management• Overseeing all aspects of direct sourcing projects from low-cost countries (China, India)• Establish 3PL warehouse distribution network and logistics framework• Negotiation and establishment of formal supply agreements with key suppliers• Supplier relationship management, including ordering and receipting of goods, supplier performance management, and negotiation of supply agreements.
