Administrator
It Support Assistant
My role during this internship was to re-cable and install HP double touch screen PCs over four floors at the Canterbury Christ Church University library. I disconnected old PCs, took out all the old cabling, used brand new ethernet cables, 4 gang plugs (surge protected), network cables, twin power leads, keyboards, mice, surge protected extensions and plastic trunking to cover the cabling. Once PCs were installed, I would configure the bios ready for the windows 10 image to be downloaded. The job included providing students and staff with technical support, this included printers, student card printers and any staff PC related issues. I took delivery of over one hundred PCs, wheeling pallets from the delivery bay to the chosen destination using a pallet truck. I myself installed over a hundred PCs and this really helped me to further develop my problem-solving skills.
