Current duties include running projects on new equipment, jigs and fixtures & tooling required to improve the safety & efficiency of the assembly process.I am currently trained as a CPS (Cat Production System) Black Belt in Lean Manufacturing. Being trained as a CPS Black Belt has given me more knowledge on how and what tools are available to improve bottle necks in the business. I have used this knowledge in the running of RIW (Rapid Improvment Workshop) which targets a bottle neck that is restricting flow in a process.I have also been trained as a section manager for the running of the CPS SWE which a lean manufacturing training tool on the Cat Production System. This tool is used to train employees on how and what to look for in relation to wastes found in any process and how to eliminate this waste.Other duties also include writing standard work for our assembly process and the implementation of any special tooling or jig requirements into the assembly process.eg electronic torque tools. I also Lead the VOCC (voice of the customer center) Board which is a process that our internal customers use to highlight their highest pain issues so they can have RCCA and be eliminated by their supplier.This process helps their suppliers work on important issues that is causing the highest pain to their customer.Continous improvement is a big part of my role. I am continuously working with the assembly team through our CI process which looks at ways to continually improve their work areas to make completing their job safer and more efficiently.

Introduce the new CMS capital system. Track and follow the progress of all our capital projects making sure all projects were completed in the required year. This system allowed us to spend all our required allocated capital money.

Assist the Assembly Manager with the running of the workshop and resume the Managers responsibilities when he is away. This includes the running of a large team 50 - 100 & making sure that every one is working safely and are following the company's policies, procedures and making sure we hit our delivery targets.Other duties include the running of major projects for new equipment or jigs required to improve the safety & efficiency of the assembly process. Control the ordering and the tooling requirments including the capital expenditure budget for assembly.

Lead the Components/Small Jobs Team with the responsiblity of 15-25 employees. Duties include the day to day operation in the supply of components, Engine, Axles, Transmissions etc. to the assembly process. This includes the ordering and scheduling of parts, creating shift rosters and engage the team in their process and create a teamwork culture.The Small Jobs Team were responsible for the modifications and supply of parts for our Dealer network to sell as spare parts. This envolved the organisation of the jobs and the scheduling of work that was required to meet delivery targets.

Team Lead for the Assembly of AD45B Mining Truck. Day to Day activities include, organise parts, fault find electrical and hydraulic issues on start up, Organise and fix issues during the assembly process with parts not fitting ect. Lead a team of 5 members in making sure they all work safely and are following the companies policies and procedures. Also to ensure everyone had the tools to complete thier job safely. Other duties were to keep the team engaged and motivated in their job and to have all members create a team work culture. Also the allocation of tasks to all team members to meet the delivery deadlines.
