Profile bio

About Nathan M.

I am a self-motivated individual with a passion for the outdoors and a keen interest in Pre-Hospital emergency medicine services. I believe that my first two and a half years with QAS as an Emergency Medical Dispatcher will serve me well as I transition from the Operations Centre environment to the on-road environment. Outside of my primary employment with the Queensland Ambulance Service, I have been working as a Paramedic with 1300Medics & Team Medical Australia. 1300Medics is a private medical company with a diverse client portfolio, that is not only allowing me to continue to develop my clinical practice, but also allows me the chance to work with and supervise student paramedics in a clinical environment. Team Medical Australia is the premier motorsport medical service within Australia; currently working as the preferred medical service provider to a number of Australian Motorsport events. This role provides medical care to the drivers & riders participating in the events, in the event of any on-track incidents. Outside of my paid employment I have enjoyed working at both the unit (ACU) and battalion headquarters (BN HQ) level of the Australian Army Cadets (AAC). The AAC is a leading Australian youth development organisation that I participated in as a youth member, I have returned to the organisation as an adult member to give back to an organisation that has done so much for me. Being able to assist the youth of today develop into the leaders of tomorrow is definitely a privilege I am afforded by my participation in the AAC.
