  On shift, crew members are tasked with handling the multitude of duties that come with working in a high-speed sandwich shop. Friendly banter with customers while preparing sandwiches is the expectation, as well as guiding the customer along the process of how their sandwich is made. It's also expected of crew members to have a high understanding of each of the stores various roles, including slicing meats, putting toppings on sandwiches, or grilling sandwiches. On top of the major sandwich making roles, it's important for crew members to be able to quickly switch between jobs to help wherever is necessary. Finally, as a crew member, it's crucial to recognize when and how to tackle busy versus quiet times in the restaurant. Any time that customers begin to enter the store, the crew member needs to react according to the situation. This fast paced job leads itself into earning crew members great teamwork skills, as well as customer service and communication skill.
