Throughout high school, I dedicated my after-school time to collaborating with diverse peers to create a competitive robot in the FIRST Tech Challenge competitions. I also volunteered as an inspector to be sure other teams were within the guidelines and as a scorekeeper for tournaments that I was not competing in. Now that I have graduated, I have spent my free time giving back to FIRST as a Head Referee. I have spent the last 2 years as Lead Referee for the Los Angeles, Orange, and Riverside County areas, leading 8 other Head Referees to create consistency throughout 13 different Leagues, totaling 107 robotics teams and 52 competitions a season. This experience in the program and out has made me an excellent communicator and problem solver in any group.
