Evaluate and coordinate scheduled transmission outages of the transmission elements within the PJM territory, and grants final approval for the switching of facilities in and out of service. Coordinate operations, resolve problems and direct assistance on an inter-regional basis with other systems outside PJM. Participate in training programs and provide training to new power dispatching candidates, other dispatchers, and familiarizes other employees about system operations. Document the operation of the system for later use in after-the-fact system analysis. Assist in the development, implementation, and improvement of new systems to provide PJM’s members greater value and enhance operations.
