During my Operations internship at Paylocity I worked on a total of 9 high-impact projects. I gained exposure to B2B SaaS/payroll operations, allowing me to venture into cross-functional projects involving data analysis, frequent communication, and presentations to the manager and director level. As I gathered and analyzed large volumes of data, I learned platforms such as SalesForce, MS Excel, Jira, and Power BI.• Knowledge Base Effectiveness: Used Microsoft Excel and Power BI to analyze roughly 1,000 datapoints regarding popular search terms and the Paylocity Knowledge Base's ability to return effective results. Identified key issues impacting search effectiveness and presented recommended improvements to the Knowledge Base to better support Paylocity Client Services, ultimately uncovering an impactful bug within the platform.• Sentiment Analysis: Conducted an analysis of 20,000+ SalesForce cases using Power BI and Excel VLOOKUP/Conditional Formatting to gauge user sentiment about product features. Summarized findings using Pivot Tables for the department manager, delivering invaluable data to inform future development strategies.• Task Backlog Leadership: Tracked the workload of 20+ SME groups to monitor turnaround times on time-sensitive tasks. Frequently liaised with cross-functional groups to determine pain points, answer questions, and resolve issues relating to workload. Affected a 35% decrease in average task age and led 11 SME groups in achieving performance goals by the end of 3 weeks.• Product Performance Benchmarks: Tested a feature in the Knowledge Base to benchmark its success. Measured the success rate to be <50%, leading to stakeholder discussions to deliver feedback and coordinate product enhancement.
