Led a six-member Cyber Threat Pursuit team to identify and pursue APTs Global infrastructure, victims, and malware utilizing customized incident response techniques, targeted forensic methods, and threat intelligence management. Decoded compromised command and control infrastructure and effectively presented APT threat analytical results to C-level board members. Built and maintained Government and private sector partnerships critical to operational success and frequently briefed each on emerging tactics, techniques, and procedures. Developed and led initiatives to identify previously unknown compromised infrastructure in an effort to strategically direct, divert, and disrupt APT activity globally. Identified and evaluated new APT malware designed to provide command and control channels with encryption method utilization and call back resolutions. Authored and disseminated signatures to the intelligence community. Developed new analytical capabilities in all-intel source analytics by integrating Maltego with custom transforms and Kibana dashboards to query multiple ElasticSearch databases to revitalize an aging analytical platform and provide a streamlined and exhaustive analytical end product. Led the development of an intel threat management database, on-scene indicator of compromise hunt tool, APT Yara rules and SNORT rules for advanced identification. Performed consistent and timely analysis of intrusion activity, to include: forensic analysis, network traffic, and log analysis.Mentored and trained analysts and investigators in identifying intrusion activity.
