As an on-call intern for KAI, I wrote trip generation letters and performed Traffic Impact Analysis for projects where KAI is the sub-consultant to Anderson-Perry, the prime. These projects all have been in the Walla Walla, Washington area.

During my internship experience I wrote a winning proposal, performed Traffic Impact Studies (TIS), performed safety studies both freeway and pedestrian/bike, drafted, sketched, designed, made cost estimates, and performed traffic analysis.I participated in multiple public information meetings and a client meeting. I worked directly with the client on multiple occasions.My internship experience sent me to other offices which allowed me to participate in different projects around the country.I heard from national policy leaders in transportation. While in Washington D.C, I attended a question and answer session with Transportation Deputy Secretary Porcari. I, also, interacted with multiple transportation policy and research leaders at the FHWA Turner-Fairbanks National labratory, AAA Research Foundation, legislative advisors, lobbyists, and other public officials.

Co-led meetings of the 32 residence hall council members. Planned campus fundraisers and educational activities. Led one of four teams of 32 residence hall council members in preparing for and working each of the events that we planned out throughout the academic year. Provided support to the residence hall council members as they put together their individual hall activities.

Traveled to seven countries in Europe while taking two academic courses over a period of seven weeks. Visited historical buildings and architecture from 833 A.D. onward. Learned about the political and cultural difference between the U.S. and European countries.

Assisted students in learning course math in courses from arithmetic through calculus. I, also, student taught a math 20, basic arithmetic math class. In this course after the professor was done with his lecture, which was very short because the bulk of this class was based upon performing and receiving assistance working through handouts showing students how to approach the math, I would answer questions and help students through their worksheets. Often, there would be a few students stuck on the same topic so I could work with a small group all at the same time.
