I study Cyber Security with an emphasis on Penetration Testing for Web Applications, APIs, and Networks. To that end, I obtained the OSWP (OffSec Wireless Professional) certification which demonstrates my knowledge of Networking and various Network Attacks. I also completed the PEN-200 course in preparation for the corresponding OSCP certification.In addition to this, I acquired hands-on experience in Ethical Hacking from my Home Lab and training sites like TryHackMe (I'm ranked in the top 2%), Portswigger Academy, and HackTheBox. By modifying tools, and analyzing the software for various systems and applications, I frequently work with many programming languages ranging from Powershell and Bash to PHP, Python, JS, C++, etc.I know the fundamentals of System Administration for both Linux and Windows, and have experience with virtualization software including Type 1 Hypervisors. I'm also familiar with Active Directory and Logical Volume Management.As an Eagle Scout and a Black Belt, I am familiar with the discipline required for seeing long term projects through to completion. While in the scouts, I gained experience in leadership and cooperation, as I organized projects like the construction of shelters for a local wildlife rescue.Working as an MMA Coach has bolstered my ability to communicate effectively. An integral part of this job is simplifying complex, multi-step processes into easily digestible concepts for clients who are unfamiliar with the subject matter. This skill translates to IT, wherein technological jargon must be presented in an understandable manner to less tech-savvy people working in adjacent fields.
