Learned and employed Abaqus FEA to design Hydraulic components for nuclear application. Led a cross-department team to redesign a test a new grapple mechanism for spent fuel that used AM-produced compliant mechanisms. Used nTopology and Fusion 360 generative design to optimize components for structural and hydraulic applications.Led the adoption of DfAM tools at NNL, creating the first internally published papers on applying nTopology to submarine power components.

Design and fabricate prototypes for a start-up company called HiveBike which produces bike locks that pair with our app and website, and turn any bike into a dock-less share bike. We offer a new greener, more fun bike sharing service. Currently launching at Swarthmore College, but looking to expand to other campuses

-analyze, process and model incoming 2D part documents to assist in manufacturing price quoting-model parts and run them through price quoting algorithm, verifying the accuracy of the concluded quote-Create a program that automatically redacts sensitive information from 2D part documents, and create instructive documentation on how to use this software.-Design and present a system to quote the price of coating processes (ie anodizing) based on part sizes and part quantities.

I volunteered to design and build a platform and setup necessary for measuring the elasticity of cell membranes. The setup, which is similar to an atomic force microscope, needed to be made to be completely adjustable to the nanometer if necessary. To complete this project, I used SolidWorks to design multiple components, which I printed out and assembled, using a CNC mill and lathe to further refine the parts.
