The National Livestock and Investment Manager achieves commercial business outcomes through the effective oversight of the general operations of various agricultural facilities within AAMIG’s livestock investment portfolio, ensuring the delivery of business operations and services, facility management and maintenance, finance management and compliance with WH&S, Environmental and other relevant industry legislation and practices. The National Livestock Investment Manager contributes to the development of new business by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. The National Livestock Investment Manager plays an integral part in our succession plan and is expected to lead and mentor all reporting staff at a senior level within the organisation.

Nathan is the General Manager of Livestock Link Pty Ltd, Australia’s largest provider of livestock marketing facility operational and data collection services. He is responsible on a daily basis for the overarching management, strategic direction, system improvement and overall service provision by Livestock Link throughout Australia by its 380 staff across 25 sites. He has over ten (10) year’s experience in all aspects involved in the operation and management of large scale livestock selling facilities.In recent years Nathan has been intimately involved in the development of new technology systems for livestock marketing facilities such as automated animal handling systems, the development of a ‘paperless’ saleyard operating methodology and operational systems that underpin the adoption of value added online marketing systems.Nathan is the driving force behind Livestock Link becoming the first saleyard service provider to adopt formal training and accreditation procedures relating to animal welfare and handling practices.To this end Nathan was a key manager in a team of professionals engaged by the Australian Meat and Livestock Industry to provided operational expertise for the implementation of an automated Livestock Traceability System in Egypt required to re-open the live cattle trade between Australia and Egypt in 2010. His expertise in animal handling and operational procedures ensured the training of local employees was in line with Australian best practice in animal welfare.Having dedicated his professional career to the livestock marketing industry, Nathan has built a strong rapport with agents and key saleyard users throughout Australia.Nathan gained a Bachelor of Agribusiness from the University of New England in 2006 and relishes the opportunity to continue to be actively involved in the cattle industry in both a professional and personal level.
