When I was 27, I found a beautiful one-hundred-and-eighteen-pound boulder of petrified wood while out rockhounding in the mountains, about half a mile up a creek. I had to have it. Unfortunately, it was a boulder. It was too bulky to fit in my backpack, and way too heavy to carry in my arms. Regardless, I persevered. I rolled that boulder through the creek for half a mile, up the trail to my car, and loaded it up. When I decide I’m going to do something, I make it happen. That’s who I am. Now, I bring that drive to my career. I want to solve problems, and I want to accomplish things that matter. I want to grow my skills, and watch my career blossom like a rose.
