I am currently involved in researching that includes measuring the impact of pharmacist interventions in diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and anticoagulation. I also am a member of the San Diego County Prescription Drug Abuse Task Force and have been conducting research on this topic.

I am currently involved in researching that includes measuring the impact of pharmacist interventions in diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, collaborative care, and safe medication usage in patient populations. I recently became a member of the UCSD Pharmacogenomics Education Program as Co-Director of PharmGenEd Training for Healthcare Practitioners. I joined the faculty at the UCSD Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in September 2009 where he will be teaching in the Pharmacy Practice courses and practicing at UCSD Family Medicine Clinics.

I joined LLU in 2004 and became the first clinical pharmacist to establish a practice site and collaborative practice agreement with an LLU affiliated Community Clinic - SACHS. I also served as an IPPE and APPE preceptor at the SACHS clinic. I coordinated and taught in the endocrine and GI therapeutics courses, diabetes and top 200 prescription drug electives, and lectured in various other courses.

Cardiovascular Risk Reducation Ambulatory Care Resident - Provided pharmacotherapeutic services to ambulatory care clinics, specifically metabolic syndrome, hypertension, lipids, and diabetes. Presented in-service and other continuing education programs to other health care professionals. Assistant Clinical Professor - Involved in didactic and experiential teaching at the VCU School of Pharmacy. Served as a primary preceptor of Pharm.D. clerkship students.
