I am excited to begin my legal career and bring my passion for the law to a professional role. I recently passed the bar exam in Nashville, TN in July 2024 and am eagerly awaiting my swear in ceremony on Nov 5th. My academic and practical experiences have prepared me to make a meaningful contribution to the legal field. During my legal education, I had the invaluable opportunity to intern with Judge David Barber in Kentucky. This role allowed me to observe court proceedings closely, engage in legal research, and contribute with drafting memos and motions. Working directly with a respected judge provided me with a profound understanding of the judicial process and strengthened my legal writing and analytical skills. Additionally, my experience with Paula Barber at Richardson, Barber, and Williams Law Firm offered further exposure to various legal matters, including wills/trusts/estates and comprehensive legal research. This experience helped refine my legal drafting abilities and broaden my understanding of client-focused legal practice. My time with the St. Pete Ocean Conservancy was particularly formative, as it allowed me to explore environmental law and work on initiatives that protect our natural resources. This role reinforced my commitment to using legal expertise for environmental advocacy and policy development. In my earlier internship at Braswell Law, I developed essential skills in organizing discovery information and utilizing Casemap software. These foundational experiences enhanced my attention to detail and procedural efficiency. Outside of my formal legal training, I have been actively involved in volunteer work with organizations such as Keep Pinellas Clean, Save Our Sea Birds, and Easter Seals. These experiences have deepened my commitment to community service and environmental conservation. As I step into the professional world, I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge in a dynamic legal environment where I can continue to grow and contribute effectively.
