Note: This sale of this facility was finalized in late November and after a few months it was consolidated into a Georgia facility.Oversee 120+ associates on two shifts in the manufacture of automotive stampings and assemblies for various OEM's, including tier 1 supply to Honda and Mercedes, with other tier supply to Nissan, Ford and others. Worked extensively with customers throughout the USA and Mexico.Press sizes ranged from 150 tons through 880 tons. Welding operations included resistance and MIG. Manual and automated assembly with operations such as screw installation, grommets, clips and other small part installation. Other processes included drill & tap, orbital riveting / peening, and inline testing.Outside processes included zinc plating, e-coating, tumbling / deburr, dacro and geomet coatings.

Lead Quality department including Quality Engineering, CMM operator, Auditors and overall system maintenance. Interact with customers for not only concerns and countermeasures, but also continuous improvement opportunities. Plant-level management representative for TS16949 surveillance audits.

OEM's included Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes, VW, and Honda. Part of the implementation team for TS16949 registration. Also helped lead successful completion of VW approval process to become a direct supplier.Took direct responsibility for Materials department for 1 year, including the establishment of all new vendors and stocking levels for consigned inventory for the VW program.
