Though my three month position as the photography intern for Quicken Loans, I shot a variety of photographs for the company. These included a variety of events that took place around Detroit, headshots and culture photos of team members for both internal and external marketing campaigns. I learned how to use lighting equipment better, learned some new tips for using a DSLR camera and tricks for post production as well throughout my intersnhip. I was also a production assistant on some larger commercial shoots throughout my time at Quicken Loans too.

As the Marketing & Foundation Specialist at Great Lakes Recovery Centers, I was able to use photography to tell the story of the organization. Because of many grant requirements and their presence across social media, I was given the opportunity to capture photographs for various programs and events throughout the organization. This could sometimes prove to be challenging due to the confidential nature of the work. They needed to have meaningful photos without showing the faces of the clients. This role also included creating content and posting across social media channels, creating digital and print content to use as promotional materials, planning of events and other administrative duties. I helped build the social media presence for the organization by setting up a Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts throughout my time there.
