The Release Engineering team at Netlify is responsible for continuously improving our ability to own and ship the software that powers the Netlify platform. This includes, but is not limited to:* Automate infrastructure provisioning requests and resource/team alignment* Encapsulate elements used by teams to automate build, test, and deploy their software* Measure team and organizational delivery to facilitate continuous improvement* Harden automation processes to ensure safe and secure internal operationsMy role on the team is to flex between technical contributor and "glue" for other necessary team functions not strictly technical in nature. I act as a team lead on Walmart's Next Generation Workforce Management solution in our Move Domain. Primary responsibilities of my role on the team includes, but is not limited to, driving domain discussions/design/modification within the team and without, facilitation of team meetings, coaching team members to be lean/agile and in technologies affecting our stack, participating in focus groups for a variety of topics (CI/CD, DevOps, culture, etc.), fighting cultural status quo items that impede engineering excellence, and of course designing/writing software to delight our customers :)Our stack is an AngularJs client that uses Java RESTful services and an Informix NoSQL (read MongoDB) database.

Acted as a backend developer for a team responsible for designing a dashboard to be used in mainframe maintenance. Responsibilities included communicating with front-end developers with regard to format protocol, assisting Project Manager in preparing presentations and gathering software requirements, and ensuring data from backend was sufficient and adequately processed.Also participated on a team responsible for reviewing different open-source solutions. Main responsibilities included assisting in prepartation of presentation and reviewing documentation for existence of key functionality points.
