I optimize JustAir's projects, supporting a small team of project managers to implement customer projects and build trusted partner relationships. JustAir partners with communities to further environmental justice through air quality.

I work with community leaders and manage projects that further environmental justice through air quality.

I take on part-time projects that help leaders and organizations reach their climate and sustainability goals. I provide project-based support in communications, grant writing, and program design, as well as more in-depth action planning, project management, and coaching. I also write a newsletter on related topics.

I co-facilitated short learning sprints on various climate topics for climate professionals and job seekers. With other members of the MCJ Learning Sprint core team, I helped to continuously improve this educational offering for MCJ learners. This was a volunteer role.

The Climatebase Fellowship is "a program designed to help talented mission-driven professionals accelerate their climate careers." This nine-week program provides fellows with practical knowledge across a range of critical climate sectors, networking opportunities and mentorship from leaders in the field, and project-based experience through a capstone project.During the Fellowship, I co-designed and co-led two workshop sessions (on climate imagination and climate emotions), collaborated with two interdisciplinary project teams to co-create a climate communication guide and conceptualize a socio-emotional learning platform, and actively contributed to the Fellowship community. It will continue to be a powerful source of learning and collaboration.Technical learning subjects included: Climate Fundamentals, Energy & Transportation, Engineered Carbon Removal, Nature Based Solutions, Food & Agriculture, Circular Economy, and Buildings, Cities & Adaptation.

I directed a $2M+ grant to support leaders and faith communities in the face of economic and related challenges. Based on research I conducted and a 20+ page report I wrote on workforce development needs facing leaders, I designed, developed, and delivered resources and partnerships—including a professional fellowship and continuing education opportunities—to support leaders' growth and sustain their well-being. I strategically planned and then implemented the grant's offerings, which included managing the program's budget and data systems. I also worked closely with grantees to support their customized goals. Through a proposal I wrote, the program was awarded an additional $250K grant to benefit leaders most harshly affected by the pandemic and related challenges. Finally, I told the story of program impact to funders and other shareholders via reports, presentations, and articles.

Within the Education team, I managed and promoted 20+ global education programs a year with international partners to reach social impact goals. I built international partnerships, developed trainings and curricula, supported learner success, and evaluated the impact of projects and models in low- and middle-income countries. Our team developed and delivered an innovative virtual exchange program connecting 570+ students between five countries, which received follow-on funding due to its success. Moreover, I supported NGO leadership workshops and helped develop two centers of excellence, the Global Virtual Learning Center (GVLC) and Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC). Finally, I researched and wrote 18 articles to share learning with U.S. and global audiences and generate new partnerships; I also wrote a book chapter on experiential learning for social impact.

As part of a team, I facilitated training experiences for international practitioners at Duke University in concert with subject matter experts. I liaised with diverse international learners and faculty members, arranged meetings and field visits between learners and partner organizations, managed online enrollment processes, and administered, analyzed, and reported learner feedback. In this role I honed my written and verbal communication for international audiences.

Within this role, I edited and wrote academic materials for international audiences, conducted promotional and outreach efforts within a university center, edited and prepared academic materials in close collaboration with faculty, and planned events. I also created and managed two websites designed to build intercultural partnerships.

As part of the Human Needs & Global Resources (HNGR) program, I worked under Ethiopian leadership to empower local community leaders via training workshops. I conducted research on faith communities' responses to HIV&AIDS, prepared reports, wrote grant proposals, and supported workshops. Based on these activities, I delivered an extensive report to my host organization.
