Over the last two yeart at CAB Automotive I have been working as a project engineer. I am currently managing two projects - L494 backboard for Lear and Karma Revero Seat back and side shield for Karma Automotive.I have been put in charge of both projects from development, liaising with customer, manufacture and modifications, production, quality, cell layout and face to face meetings with both Lear and Karma. By having this experience of independent working and also working with the engineers at CAB It has allowed me to broaden my knowledge and understanding of the engineering and automotive industry.The project I am most recently working on is LEVC (London EV Company).In addition to the above projects I have also been responsible for-- Cell layouts – I have created and implemented cell layouts for several projects to improve on process efficiency- IMDS (International Material Data System) – I have been the main point of contact in the company for submitting IMDS for new and existing parts.- Operator Instructions – creating the work instructions to ensure correct and safe working.- Defender Seat SVO – Liaising with customer to manufacture a one off design to customer specification (Dr.Baenziger seat) whilst also addressing any quality and specification issues.- Defender 2 millionth handbook – Part leading production of 2 millionth defender handbook to ensure no quality issues occurred with embroidery.- Gerber / router programmer – Through the use of digitizing and DXF I made, edited and then ran programmes on the Gerber and router.- Knife tool pattern designer – Through the use of digitizing and DXF’s I have created the patterns for several knife tools currently used in the factory.
