Works in the Core Mining division as an Engineering Project Manager. Acts internally as a liaison between Sales, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Fabrication, Assembly, and Shipping departments to drive projects from start to finish. Works with Customers to ensure product meets or exceeds requirements. Responsible for providing project updates within Prairie Machine and to the Customer.Core Mining projects managed include 4-Rotor Miner, Belt Storage Magazines, and Flexiveyors (mobile conveyor system).

October 2014-May 2015: Worked internally at Fortis as Mechanical Engineer. Focus on design of lifting equipment such as spreader bars, head covers, and material baskets. Developed Certified Lowering Plans for equipment being lowered down mine shaft.May 2015-December 2017: I was seconded to PotashCorp as an Engineering Project Manager. At PotashCorp Cory I was responsible for R & D of a solution to reduce the need for non-essential personnel be at the active mining face involving a brattice deployment system. At PotashCorp Lanigan I was responsible for R & D of a ventilation system to extract airborne dust generated during mining. The goal was to improve operator visibility, reduce personnel exposure to dust, and reduce the need for non-essential personnel be at the active mining face.Project progress was presented bi-weekly to a committee of underground mine management from head office and multiple mine sites. Internal technical reports were made for the developments. I was also responsible for managing multiple vendors that supported these R & D projects.

Mechanical Design, Engineer-in-Training,Design mining and conveyor equipment based off of customer requests, primarily in the potash mining sector. Use a combination of engineering theory, manufacturing and assembly principles, field experience, and 3D/2D CAD tools to generate new designs and revise existing ones. Either perform or advise drafting of equipment for manufacturing. Write product proposals, technical manuals, and presentations (training or proposal) for equipment. Provide training and commissioning support at customer level for equipment designed.
