• Manage and lead the Biosecurity Division and policy directions, in collaboration with state and national government leaders and experts.• Review and make recommendations to the Minister through the Chief Executive of PIRSA on, and lead and ensure the efficient and coordinated delivery of, biosecurity policy, strategies, legislation, procedures and activities that will mitigate and manage incursion risks and events for the State. • Appointment as the State’s Controller for Agriculture and Animal services in accordance with the Emergency Management Act.• Represent the state on the National Biosecurity Committee to develop and implement policy at a national level. • Facilitate effective communication and information flow between key agencies and external stakeholders.• Lead and manage the Division’s strategic planning and accountability capacity.• Ensure a strong focus on corporate governance.• Enhance opportunities for staff engagement and capability development.
