This was a family owned independent off-licence that came with much more responsibility than a standard retail employment. I improved my interpersonal skills as I greeted every customer and provided assistance with their selection of alcohol. With this I also had to memorise a substantial amount of information on the vast alcohol selection, ranging from hundreds of crafts beers to wines and spirits.Time management and prioritisation were very important factors as throughout each day large quantities of product would be delivered, I and one other member of staff would collect and assess for any defects, as well as organise and display them all correctly.

Volunteering at a local Oxfam shop I assisted in most day-to-day operations of the shop, including accepting and organising daily donations, greeting and serving customers as well as assisting them with various needs. Being usually the only worker on the floor with my manager upstairs, I had to efficiently handle transactions whilst ensuring a positive experience for all customers. I accepted and processed daily donations, including sorting, pricing, and displaying items in a visually appealing manner to increase sales and donations.I assisted in maintaining stock levels and keeping the store well-organized, clean, and welcoming to customers.I worked mostly independently in the shop with minimal supervision and I enjoyed working with that strong sense of responsibility.

I led a small-scale team in assembling COVID-19 test kits on a fast-paced production line. It was my responsibility to ensure that my team met our daily quota of products whilst not sacrificing the efficiency of our work and the quality of said final product. I had to ensure my team's strict adherence to health and safety protocols as considering our product was for medical use this was of the upmost importance, whilst again not faltering in quality and quantity of production. My team and I communicated effectively throughout each day to achieve maximum efficiency in our effort to reach targets and keep morale high.
