- Open the register for the day - Make and manage reservations- Receive and handle payments - Respond to customers either over the phone or in-person swiftly - Respectfully and effectively - Pack food orders - Assist the waiters and other staff of the restaurant should the need arise.

- Work with restaurant staff to create a positive dining experience for guests- Greet customers and answer questions- Alert servers when tables need attention- Clean tables when the customer has left- Carry heavy carts filled with dirty dishes and glasses so they may be cleaned at the dishwasher- Be able to stay on task and focused even when under heavy stress
