Nathan Schmidt, CPA (inactive) is the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at an Emerging Therapy Solutions and brings 20 years of professional accounting and finance leadership experience. He brings diverse knowledge in the areas of FP&A, accounting and payroll, strategic financial management, corporate administration and compliance, data analytics as well as nonprofit accounting. Nathan graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and joined the public accounting firm of Ernst & Young, LLP. He has held a number of senior level accounting and finance positions with increasing responsibility. He previously served as the Finance Director of BARR Center, a national education nonprofit. Prior to BARR Nate was Vice President of Finance for Revere Medical Management, a medical pharmacy benefit management company focused on Biosimilar drug management strategies with our partner health plans and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Nathan previously held the position of Senior Director of Finance for University of Minnesota Physicians (UMP), the multi-specialty group practice of over 1,000 health care providers and faculty where he managed the strategic financial planning, analytics, and business intelligence teams. Prior to this role, Nathan was UMP’s Controller with oversight of accounting, financial reporting, external audits, payroll and the annual budget process.Before joining UMP, Nathan spent 10 years with Novologix, a health care technology company that is now a division of CVS Caremark, where he held the position of Vice President of Finance, Treasurer and HIPAA Privacy Officer. Nathan is a member of the Nonprofit Financial Group, Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, Institute of Managerial Accountants (IMA) and has been involved in his community, serving as Treasurer for the local Cub Scout Pack and volunteering his time with Feed My Starving Children. In his free time Nathan enjoys biking, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
