I am a surface water engineer with over 25 years experience across business sectors including mining, oil and gas, power, transportation and urban infrastructure. My work has focused on surface water in the natural environment, including interfaces with constructed environments, and including hydrology, hydraulics, water quality, water management, environmental impact assessment and regulatory approvals and compliance. I am also a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).I have worked with Golder Associates since 1997, progressing from a junior engineer position into my current role as a Principal of the company. My project experience highlights include serving as the hydrology component lead on a number of gold and diamond mine development projects in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut and on oil sands project environmental impact assessments in Alberta. I have also been in a leadership role on the City of Edmonton environmental monitoring program since 2006. Community involvement is a Golder core value, and the company has supported my involvement in various organizations including serving on NSERC Grant Selection committees since 2008, serving for seven years on the APEGA Environment Committee, including six years as Chair, and currently serving as Chair of the Row for Kids fundraiser in support the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation and Edmonton Rowing Club youth programs.
