As a designer, I gravitate towards thoughtful, site-sensitive design principles with values rooted in quality materials, unobtrusive design, and self-sufficiency for the user. I take steps to achieve my design goals through meticulous study and hard work. With multiple leadership roles during my time at SJSU and my workplace, I strive to go beyond what is expected.I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design at San Jose State University; space planning, finish selection, rendering, and user safety were all pillars within the program. I also completed extracurricular courses and activities including architecture, urban planning, and attended IIDA and AIA events regularly. At the end of my time at SJSU, I planned and lead my graduating class in our Senior Show networking event which was a wonderful success; I am thankful for all the support I have received. My experience and values are ultimately driving me to be a multi-faceted designer. As curious as I am, I intend to hone my skills through all avenues of design, focusing on sustainability, functionality, aesthetics, and client satisfaction. I hope to continue my learning of interior design and architecture with a focus on sustainable, single-family residential projects.
