Also assisting with the purchasing or covering of other colleagues for the following vendors, Dell, Fujitsu, Tandberg, IoSafe, Aten, Netgear, APC, Eaton, Emerson & Avocent. Maintaining stock levels, managing supplier deliveries, raising orders, fulfilling requests from sales on product lead. Times & availability. My core focus was on managing aged stock as technology is constantly changing and improving, it was paramount to ensure the highest number of stock turns as possible to ensure the businesses working capital isn't tied up in obsolete stock. Strategically working with vendors in order to reduce lead times and finding ways in which to add value to the overall supply chain.By having so much exposure to a wide variety of multinational vendors, it has helped me to understand a diversified range of procurement processes by dealing with suppliers around the globe on a daily basis. My role here was to help drive and deliver growth to the online element of their business across the core categories that delivered the most revenue and GP. In total I looked after 12 categories and across all within my short time.In terms of GP I managed to deliver growth rates YoY ranging from 12% to 46%. My success was down to building new relationships with an array of new suppliers I hadn't worked with previously but also capitalising on those relationships I alrsdy had within the channel to secure the best pricing for the business.This role also entailed working with the likes of Micron and Netgear, planning promotions to run over certain weekends and those peak dates such as black Friday and cyber Monday to generate increased revenues.I also played a part in maintaining and managing the configuration tools for the online Server tool which was directly linked to the production team that I oversaw.
