I took on additional responsibilities in this role, such as working more closely with our business/enterprise Subscribers and being a part of our on-call rotation for after hours support. I would go into the field as necessary to help resolve issues with our equipment (card replacements, receiver moves, etc.). I also went on-site to troubleshoot issues for various business/enterprise Subscribers. I helped to create documentation for the NOC Technicians to reference for various tasks and procedures.

I joined the NOC as part of the first wave of NOC Technicians. We served as the primary escalation point for our Technical Support Representatives (TSRs), which were our front line support for Subscribers. We assisted in training new TSRs when they were hired. We monitored the network for any issues or outages and worked to restore them before Subscribers noticed them. We worked with various TV Broadcasters to resolve issues as they came up and acted as the primary communication for our TSRs and various IPTV partners. Another primary function of the NOC was to test equipment so that it could be returned to the manufacturer or re-used in the field if there were no problems.

Subscriber Support Representatives were the first line support for our Subscribers. We assisted them with resolving their technical issues as well as learning to use the services in general. I was able to help most Subscribers with a one-call resolution. We helped to answer questions about the various service packages that we offer and which one would best fit each Subscriber's needs. Any billing questions that the Subscribers had would come to the Subscriber Support Representatives (SSRs) to answer first and would be escalated to Supervisors if needed. We also helped with quoting line extensions and getting signed up for services.
