Researcher at the Mesbah Lab of UC Berkeley, working on Bayesian Optimization / Bayesian Neural Network; mainly use PyTorch, BOTorch, and Matplotlib. Aim to enable learning, analysis, and predictive control of complex chemical and biomolecular systems via developing suitable neural network structures (e.g. "Non-Equilibrium Plasma Treatment of Complex Surfaces”, Colloidal Self-Assembly Systems"). Current project on tackling traditional BO’s inefficiency in capturing complex functions in high dimensions. I build and tune gradient/Hessian-informed neural network, achieving better convergence via new AF algorithms. Experiences in HMC sampling, uncertainty quantification, stochastic modeling, and hyperparameter tuning.

A leading public company in China, specializing in R&D and industrialization of gasoline, diesel, and natural gas engine exhaust after-treatment products. Worked in the R&D department addressing excessive emissions. Invented and co-developed a multiparametric emission monitoring device for ActBlue. 11981 products implemented across 18 out of 22 provinces in China, reduced NOx emissions of serviced vehicles by 11% from 2022 to 2024. Currently working on integrating existing algorithms on emission assessment with machine learning.
