Graduate from the University of Rhode Island, graduating Summa Cum Laude and focusing on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. My desire for entrepreneurship and business development is why I chose to study at this university. My goal is to use my entrepreneurial mindset in an Administrative or Business Management role. Through my studies in the college of business, I have learned important aspects of the business world. The business design process, organizational behavior, financial accounting, business computing applications and many other courses have helped in my education. Along with my studies, many of these courses involved team projects to use our different learnings in real world scenarios. One of these projects involved using business development to design a product or service. My group and I developed a storage facility business with an online interface that allows you to view your items as well as schedule a pick-up or delivery of items to and from your household to the facility. My group received high marks and praise for this invention. Along with my studies, I have also gained skills through my work experience. I was employed in the food and beverages industry for a total of 6 years. I had a variety of responsibilities in these jobs, such as keeping the items needed for operations stocked, making sure the business is clean and organized, supplying customers with the products they are buying, and more. I have also been employed as an Account Analyst/Manager, where I have completed tasks in project management, administration, billing research, organizational management, training development and more. Through these positions, I learned the values of customer service, multi-tasking, organization and self-direction. I will continue to use what I learned during my time in this industry and apply it to any future positions I am a part of. Entrepreneurship is more than just starting a business or service. It can be used in any industry. The world is always evolving, as are people and what people need. Using innovation and entrepreneurship can make an existing business, or a developing business, up to date with society's current culture and what people value. I hope to one day be a part of this ever-growing business world using what I have learned in my past experiences.
