Alongside my day jobs and studio positions, I have maintained a steady flow of freelance work that has had a wide variety of creative projects. The common theme in all of these projects is that people and brands have creative problems and I have a wide array of tools and experience to help them create solutions to those challenges. Rather than choosing to focus in on one area of design, I have opted instead to build a career as a design generalist or a "swiss army knife designer". By learning a little bit about a lot of different areas of design, I feel I have become more adaptable and resourceful in how I approach each new creative challenge. My freelance work has included but is not limited to: logos and branding, posters, layout, digital and print based advertising, illustration, UX / UI, website design, strategy, photography, packaging, art direction, social media marketing, lettering, sign / mural painting, pattern design, and more.

In addition to leading creative teams through client projects, I also helped to develop efficiencies and fine tune processes within the studio. Working alongside studio leadership and a couple other senior-level designers, I worked to mentor and facilitate education and personal growth among our creative team through group activities, creative-shares and other professional development opportunities.

I started out on a short term contract for a major consumer electronics company. Work included but was not limited to presentation design, instructional guides, digital and print advertising, production design, and photo manipulation. My contract ended up being extended for eight months before I was hired on full time.Clients included:Apple, Tesla, Nike, Adidas, Converse, The North Face, Columbia, 7-Eleven, Beats By Dre, Sanuk, Traeger, Coca-Cola, NFL, New Era, Foot Locker, Under Armour, Jordan, Dicks Sporting Goods, Burton & more.

I was the principal designer at Bolt during my time there. Environmental design, marketing strategy, various digital and print design for events.

I worked independently on projects under the art direction of owners, Jason and Erik. Projects included website design, brand development, user experience, print collateral, advertising, photography, logo design, environmental design, screen printing, wood working, mural installation and sign painting.
