Created a new exporting service for the Document Service department that pulls from multiple data sources to create a sign file for uploading into IU’s Financial System. The application requires its own proprietary file format which was constructed out of class for a proposed financial system change in the future. The application is coded in VB.NET and implements a SQL Server express for domain wide implementation settings and local XML file personal and migration settings.

DREX PROJECTWorked as a member of the DREX core team that is responsible for all disease reporting interface to ISDH’s program areas. The web application, coded in VB.net, ASP.net and JQuery, has grown into a D-REX portal that supports the applications quality assurance/control, translation, lab form entry, lab file uploads and contact management. In addition to the web application, I generated class libraries that were distributed to different functional pieces of D-REX that did geographical coding and HL7 messaging from xls, csv, and txt files. I also worked with the HIV program area to bring in new labs. We worked on their push delivery to reduce the errors and time spent in importing lab data into eHARS. I was also responsible for generating monthly reports of counts and exceptions for status and distribution to program areas.OBIEE PROJECTLaid the groundwork for ISDH’s new business intelligence (BI) toolset and produced documentation to support application developers to continue with the tool. For the demonstration of the capabilities of OBIEE, we took the INEDSS application and created a Surveillance Suite. The suite integrated PHESS & INEDSS data sources together and mixed them with a GIS tool for cluster detection and syndromic surveillance. Had to work with SNOMED & LOINC codes for integrated the Labs data into readable output for epidemiologist to use in surveillance. Functioned as a Project Lead on a large update over a past development project, employing VB.NET, ASP.NET, Active Reports 6 and SQL Server technologies in an integrated Visual Studio environment to administer “Operation Pull Over”. The application has been upgraded to the 4.0 .Net platform and SQL Server 2008.
