Acrylic and Solid Surface cast sheet manufacturerCredit ManagerMain duties are to establish credit limits, monitor and collect receivables balances for all Solid Surface and Acrylic customers, domestic and international. Also apply cash receipts to customer accounts on system daily. Assist in Treasury functions that consists of bank balance analysis, funding needs and daily cash report. Assisted in set-up of new sub-company called Avonite Surfaces Direct in 2008 acting as Credit-A/R liaison for team. Over 1,000 new customers set up, half on open terms.Introduced CHAX (fax-check) software and assisted in set-up of credit card use for direct customer business.

Primary responsibility was the supervision of five Collection Associates. Developed weekly report by collector detailing dollars collected/promised to track highest past due balance accounts. Also managed the new account process with the processing of 20-25 credit applications per week and acted as primary liaison to Customer Service and Sales for the approval of accounts. Was responsible for review of all credit-hold orders in system, resolution of past due issues and updating customer credit limits.

Responsibility for review of daily orders on credit hold and collection of all past due invoices as well as disallowed deduction chargebacks. Also supervised claims and credit memo process and had direct responsibility for billing customers back for deduction discrepancies. In addition, review of customer credit limits, update of credit files and monthly analysis of Accounts Receivable status and activity.Streamlined credit processes and implemented credit resources for the company resulting in bad debt write-offs of only $1,700 in 2003 and $0 in 2004.Maintain invoice 10-day past due totals of $500,000 or less on average company A/R monthly balances of $80-120 million.

Responsibility for the supervision and training of the credit department for Heinz Pet Products and Starkist Seafood, divisions of Starkist Foods. Primary responsibilities included overseeing the collection function of the department as well as the order approval and new account processes. Supervision of five credit staff personnel.Helped to maintain extremely low 60-day past due balances on combined annual sales for the company of almost $2 billion.Supervised the collection of all invoices, retail and military, for both divisions and assisted in special collection issues.
