As part of the Corporate Accounting Risk and Compliance Operations team I minimize risk to the bank by ensuring that all payments are made correctly and on time. I also ensure that all associated documentation and supplier interaction is within the bank’s standards, rules and procedures. Utilizing Tableau, I created and maintain a dashboard that serves as a tool to reduce early mistakes, therefore increasing productivity and eliminating rework waste. As a discover analyst, I have completed Lean Six Sigma training and am well versed in the principles. I use these principles to identify waste, develop process improvements and provide this information to in-bank users as well as senior leadership. I also have served on multiple committees in order to integrate well with my colleagues as well as provide support for them to succeed.

This role required recruiting national business leaders to participate in the SBU and CFO surveys. These surveys are used by economists to better understand businesses from real-time first hand information and by directly hearing from them before making policy decisions. During the Spring, I made improvements to the script and training materials provided and improved my conversion rate by 150%. I was then given the opportunity to remain in the role as a leader for both the Summer and Fall cohorts. As a leader I participated in continuous improvements to all training documentation and scripts, as well as developing new training tools as well. I then gained leadership experience by training newer members and serving as a resource to their success. During my time, I networked heavily and got to know many different people and departments throughout the bank. In June, I reached out to a senior economist to assist on one of their research projects which was a pricing study and was allowed to do so. From June through the end of my internship I assisted on this project by taking raw data gathered through interviews with C-Suite executives and evaluating it before delivering a concise dataset of common themes, as well as complete analysis of key points of interest.
