Nathan’s family bought a Toyota 4runner when he was eight years old. After twenty five years of camping and adventuring, Nathan and his friends transformed this humble 4x4 into a Class 3 race truck. I worked as a Manufacturing intern in Fabrication at Davenport Works, IA. I will update this with more information soon.

Engineering practicum student. Its concept is very similar to a student intern. However, unlike traditional internships, I do not shadow employees to learn trades of this industry. I work along side my coworkers, and they expect me to learn on the way. I contribute through dedicated work in Materials RD. This dedicated work focuses on joining process research and development. While most of my direct work is a "one man job," I openly communicate with my coworkers. For example, I ask questions on concepts and then give advise on process nuances when needed. This MRD engineering practicum is very much a two way interaction. Its focus is to hone the student's skills and talents in an engineering field by placing the student in real world situations and challenges. Through this internship, I actively contribute to my company.
