I am PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Michigan. My research interests are in Development Economics and Public Economics. I am interested in understanding how individuals and firms respond to tax policy, exploring strategies to enhance tax compliance in developing countries, and examining the causal effects of public policies. In the summer of 2024, I worked with the National Planning Authority in Uganda as PhD Fellow, where I was part of the core drafting team for the Fourth National Development Plan (NDPIV) for Uganda. Prior to the PhD, I worked as a Research Analyst at the Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC) in Uganda. I hold Master of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and Makerere University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Education from Makerere University, where I majored in Economics and minored in Mathematics.
