Nathan Swan, Doctor of Physical Therapy, is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, and he is also pursuing his NSCA certification as strength and conditioning coach. He has a passion for utilizing manual therapy for the treatment of back and neck injuries and treating sports medicine injuries, especially working with runners, throwers, and swimmers.Dr. Swan completed an internship this spring in Arizona with the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club. His graduate research involved biomedical physics research on ACL injuries, bone stress in runners, and the impact of running footwear on the biomechanics of running.A specialist in injury prevention by adjusting individuals’ movement biomechanics, Dr. Swan is the lead physical therapist for the MotionWorks Physical Therapy Running Program, as well as the MotionWorks Throwers Program. He is excited to introduce the brand new MotionWorks Runners 101 Program for new or current runners interested in a formalized 5K training program starting this fall.In his free time, Nathan enjoys cheering on Wisconsin athletics, spending time outdoors, sports of any kind, playing piano, and volunteering in the community. He and his wife Amber are also excited to be preparing for a new addition to their family coming very soon!
