As a production supervisor I directly oversee 5-10 Pest Control Technicians, and indirectly oversee 30+. As a licensed exterminator, 5-10 Pest Control Technicians operate under my supervision as per legal standard in Ontario. It is my responsibility to ensure Technicians are complying with all company policies and relevant legislation with regular vehicle, equipment, and application site inspections. Myself and three other supervisors coordinate regular quality control stops, seeing all 30+ Technicians atleast once per week. The legal requirement of filling out Technician logbooks once per week is also achieved on these weekly visits. Other responsibilities include: evaluating client properties for ability to gain control of pest (mosquito and tick) populations; coordinating large application sites; solving problems for technicians; setting and changing priorities based on company and manager needs and handling a wide variety of client interactions in a friendly and professional manner.

As a Pest Control Technician, my daily responsibilities included: driving my assigned company vehicle to client's properties; interacting with clients and demonstrating very strong customer service skills; treating client properties with pesticides according to legal and technical standards; and maintaining communication with the network of technicians and managers. Additional responsibilities included: tracking and logging product usage; maintaining a schedule and adjusting priorities based on company and manager needs; maintaining pesticide spraying equipment; and training new-hire technicians.
