• Successful production of multiple nanoparticle APIs under cGMP conditions with personal responsibilities including developing scale-up, cGMP manufacturing, writing batch records, and development of analytical methods for characterization. Experienced in multi-step organic and inorganic synthesis, flash chromatography using automated system, cross flow filtration, thin film evaporation, lyophilization, and nanomaterial synthesis.

• Developed a method for postsynthetic installation of beta-diketiminate (nacnac) ligands into a metal-organic framework (MOF). Metalation with earth abundant elements afforded single-site solid state catalysts applicable for C-H amination and hydrogenation reactions.• Developed conditions for effecting Fe-catalyzed Csp3-H amination utilizing a phenanthroline ligated MOF. Mechanistic experiments were carried out to probe the potential mechanism. • Synthesized a series of BINAP-functionalized MOFs and studied their application to a series of challenging Rh-catalyzed asymmetric cyclization reactions • Developed a synthetic strategy for a series of bifunctional ligands for uranium extraction from seawater simulants

• Carried out a sophisticated structure-activity study of over 169 supramolecular catalyst systems applied to the Rh-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of a series of prochiral substrates• Developed methodology and mechanistic studies on the amide- and oxime-directed Rh-catalyzed hydroboration of beta,gamma-unsaturated substrates• Participated in several collaborative projects including the synthesis of biologically-active small molecules, charged dyes for biological applications, and covalent and zwitterionic polymers and oligomers for ferroelectric applications

• Assisted in the installation of air-sampling instruments into airplanes and helicopters later used to quantify atmospheric gases over the southeastern US. • Analyzed particulates in the air captured from the Tennessee Valley.
