Example responsibilities include:Leading the GDPR programme to prepare, guide business units towards compliance with data protection laws including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).Establishing and maintaining a professional network of data privacy leads to provide effective privacy influence across the Division.Identifying products and services affected by the GDPR in order to ensure appropriate technical and procedural controls are implemented by the Business Units in order to comply with Legal and Regulatory requirements, as well as internal Policies and Standards.Collaborating with business stakeholders, data protection leads and commercial teams to develop the data privacy program and promote a privacy aware culture across the Division.Regarded as the focal point within the Division for data protection and subject matter expert for the GDPR. Example responsibilities and experience include:Providing physical security, cyber security and risk management advice to all levels of the organisation, including head of establishment.Ensuring that responsibilities related to risk management are clearly defined and understood throughout the organisation to ensure that risks are identified, escalated and mitigated in an effective manner, and in line with relevant methodologies and policies.Experience in managing incidents and breaches, devising and executing associated processes in line with MoD policy, HMG standards and relevant legal and regulatory obligations, such as the Data Protection Act (DPA).Acting as the physical and information security subject matter advisor in relation to bids, projects or technical changes.

Deploying to and working in overseas territories with broad exposure to complex and often austere operating environments, including Afghanistan, USA, Africa, South Atlantic and the Middle East. Duties included:Protecting multimillion pound aircraft and defence critical assets when overseas in friendly and hostile countries.Implementing pilot NATO initiative for training Afghan Security Forces in the policies and procedures of Aviation Security.Building and sustaining relationships with Host Nation Security to ensure a productive and coherent working environment. Carrying out threat assessments of Host Nation amenities and producing a report with recommendations for the Head of Establishment prior to the use by British Forces.Delivering Security Awareness and Counter Terrorism training to all ranks.Deploying with RAF assets and leading a team who provide deployable air platform security, in accordance with MoD Risk Management Methodology.Organising and conducting Counter Terrorist searches of aircraft prior to the carriage of critical assets.Providing Force Protection at overseas British Establishments.
