After overhearing numerous complaints about young engineers not understanding the requirements to produce a product they developed, I began my career as a manufacturing technician. As my skill set strengthened and expanded, I found that I enjoyed being the middle man between manufacturing and engineering departments. I have had the opportunity to refine my skills in numerous fabrication techniques while still utilizing my skills as a draftsman and a designer with up to date CAD software. I have leveraged these skills to become very successful in mediating manufacturing project discussions between the shop floor and Engineering departments. Manufacturing processes that I helped develop years ago are still being used and expanded on to this day. I find satisfaction of hand, in the arts of old, and excitement of mind, in the technology of the present and future.
