I worked with large scale, real world datasets to uncover novel insights across a spectrum of topics and business fields, such as biodefense, forensics, and health.I obtained my PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I conducted research on microfluidic development, mutational rates, and fitness effects of mutations on opportunistic organisms. I also gained experience as a teaching assistant, helping undergraduate and graduate students learn the fundamentals and applications of bioinformatics and computational biology. I am passionate about using data science to advance scientific discovery and innovation.
