Due to the economic downturn, Tusaire Incorporated downsized in 2010. I have continued to offer my services as a Business Development Consultant and continue to produce Business Development videos and presentations for their R&D projects as needed.

Background: While studying at the University of Minnesota in 2005, I was offered a part-time position at Tusaire Incorporated with Product Development and Business Development roles. When I graduated in 2008, I was offered a full-time job and promotions in the company, which I accepted.Product Development and Project Management (2005-2010)Capacity: Reported to Program Manager. Background: I was approached by a church to design, develop, launch, and manage an online and print publication they had in mind, in which all content would be generated by solicited submissions from the congregation and outside subscribers. This opportunity has been very rewarding for numerous reasons - professionally, in part, simply because of the complexity, magnitude, interaction, and dynamic nature of the project. It has drawn upon all my Product Development and Business Development skill-sets and experience, but with a non-profit, ministry-centered perspective.Capacity: Manage all aspects of the publication, review all submissions, perform research, general and copy editing, technical and creative writing, graphic design, digital design, and publication¨ Website design, management, and publication of digital media (audio, visual media, articles, etc)

Background: While helping downsize Tusaire in 2010 as a result of economic pressures, I sought additional employment near to the company. I saw local journalism as an opportunity to put my analytical, technical writing, and creative writing experience to work in a way that stressed my communication and marketing skill-set, while also keeping my schedule flexible enough to offer aid to Tusaire when needed. Tusaire was successfully downsized in 2011, and I concluded my work at the Elk River Star News in 2013 to get back to a contract in new Business Development, Product Design and Development, Technical Writing, and Engineering Assistant roles at Tusaire Incorporated. Journalism has proven an incredibly challenging and rewarding experience in the realm of communication, marketing, writing, interviewing, real-time coverage, analysis, investigation, persistent deadlines, tenacity, multitasking, self-motivation, and contingency planning in a rigorous field that deals first and foremost with trust and managing sensitive information.Capacity: I covered regional events in Sherburne County; tracked pulse of community, schools, government, and business. I pursued and developed feature stories and conducted interviews (including state senators and representatives); covered school, business, government, and community events.
