I am the Director of a federal research lab, The USFWS Southeast Conservation Genetics Lab. Director, Southeast Conservation Genetics Lab
I am the Director of the US Fish and Wildlife Service Southeast Conservation Genetics Lab. My lab is co-located with Auburn University, where I am also an Assistant Research Professor. In this role, I supervise both USFWS employees and graduate students. I am a highly skilled researcher with expertise in phylogenetics, taxonomy, population genetics, invertebrate zoology, sport fish management, and aquatic conservation. In addition to the technical aspects of my job, I often use adaptive leadership skills to improve conservation outcomes for aquatic resources.
