In February 2024, Hansen Yuncken (HY) was called upon by Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV) to as 'Managing Contractor' to spearhead recovery efforts in response to devastating bushfires and severe storms that swept through the state of Victoria.I joined the HY team as Project Director (Operations) as we built a fantastic team with over 30 HY staff and many subcontractors and consultants, to undertake the implementation of this enormous clean-up effort. The program included around 250 impacted properties, with 350 workers inducted as at end Sept 2024.Being part of a large team providing disaster recovery and associated clean up services and associated works to impacted residents, in collaboration Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV) has been a privilege. Field works are due for completion by end 2024.

Leader of the National Civil Engineering team and Infrastructure business at Meinhardt (Australia).Implemented organisational change and talent development plans with enhanced the performance of the business unit. Around 60 minor civils works packages were being delivered concurrently across Australia on an ongoing basis. These projects were primarily in commercial and retail real estate, as well as industrial, healthcare and education developments for both Government and private developers and builders. Reported to the CEO and part of the ANZ Executive Leadership Committee.

Assisted Clients with corporate advisory which addressed strategy, structuring of organisation, talent management, and governance of business performance as well as sales (winning work) and project governance. Executive mentoring also provided.Commercial dispute resolution advisory, and engineering value management services also provided during this period of being a sole trader.

Appointed in role of Director Infrastructure (Australia) to incept the growth of a public infrastructure business for Hatch in Australia. Successful in penetrating the market from standing start to a highly talented workforce of 55 within 2 years, with a solid order book including major transport infrastructure projects up to $600m+ capex with Tier 1 global clients.

Major Projects Director responsible for the design, procurement and construction of the Webb Dock International Container Terminal Infrastructure Development ($210m infrastructure base build). This role involved leading the design, head contractor procurement and the role of Superintendent overseeing the construction delivery of the project. Was Chair of both the Project Management Group and the Project Executive Leadership Team, both of which involve the Developer, Head Contractor and Design Consultant. Exemplary safety performamce, finished 8 months early, under budget, and also won multiple industry awards.

Appoined by the CEO to lead business turnaround on the Tenix Engineering and Operations & Maintenance business units with staff of 150 across Australia and New Zealand. Led organisational development and many enhancements to commercial, operational and governance functions. Achieved drastic turnaround and improvements to financial performance, staff engagement and order book. led the commercialisation of innovative process engineering technology in collaboration with Curtain University. Patented and then successfully implememted on a major wasterater treatment project with Whitsundays Regional Council. This project recieved the first 'Excellent Rating' for sustainability Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA).

Initially responsible for P&L performance of Victorian Transport Infrastructure business unit consisting of 50 direct staff.Promoted in June 2009 to National Executive of the Australian Roads & Highways business unit consisting of 140 staff

Nathan was responsible for delivery of several highly successful projects in the transport infrastructure market, primarily highways and rail projects.
