Corning Environmental Technologies (CET) leverages deep understanding of ceramic science to deliver clean-air solutions in both on and off-road vehicles. As part of the Diesel Manufacturing Facility, my department managed QA and QC from OEM interaction to audit certification in accordance with automotive standards (IATF & ISO). In my roles, I helped drive quality excellence from day-to-day process/product decisions to cost reduction projects to continuous improvements of the Quality Management System.

The MSMA group, led by Dr. Mark Allen, researches the development and application of new micro/nano-fabrication technologies with a goal of bringing its discoveries into industry. During my time, we focused on MEMS manufacturing techniques, like photolithography and electroplating, that are cost and time efficient alternatives to creating key components in industries like lab-on-a chip, drug delivery, electrical devices.- Conducted research in MEMS fabrication techniques exploring microfluidics, nanostructured micro-machined magnetic inductors, and self-assembled monolayers to understand their beneficial properties, i.e. reduced flow resistance, cost, time, eddy current power loss- Programmed automated spiral tool with Java API that efficiently generates nano-structured microinductors of various parameters to simulate power saving performance
