•Introduced new vision, restructured, and doubled the size of the weekly youth program, bringing better direction and long-term goals to the program.•Envisioned and implemented the Reshape Project; turning the lower level of the building, previously offices and storage units, into a youth center enabling students to have a safe place to belong throughout the week. Partnered with different vendors to provide supplies, donations, and help in creating the space that included themed rooms such as a game room, graffiti room, city room, chalkboard room, and more. •Faithfully worked with and managed a $15,000-$17,000 yearly budget to plan for weekly large-scale student events, and a $10,000 budget to complete the Reshape Project.•Successfully led and organized service projects, solitude and silent retreats, and humanitarian trips to introduce students to the need of social action, justice, and service. •Regularly preached and administered the sacraments in Sunday morning worship services.•Provided pastoral care for students, parents, families, and other individuals within the congregation.•Trained congregants to be integral volunteers and leaders within student ministry. •Led and organized youth service projects, numerous retreats per year, and mission trips to introduce students in ways to advance God’s kingdom.•Created a small group that facilitated larger outreach gatherings for other young adults and families with the goal of starting new small groups within the church.•Launched a college adoption program for recently graduated high school students that helped over 25 students remain connected to their faith community while in college.•Collaborated with staff leadership team, appointed one of the main authors, to create a new vision and mission priorities for Christ Church, which became the guiding principles of the organization.•Was a member of the human resource search team that successfully interviewed and filled the position of Pastor of Worship Arts.

•Brought vision and leadership to a weekly campus event that hosted over 250 college students, worked with different departments (facilities, music, janitorial) to organize the event, invited well-known speakers and experts to present at the gathering, and maintained a consistent presence on campus. •Created thematic installations into each of the gatherings, such as a 9/11 tribute made from steel and concrete, art nights that included art décor throughout the large space, or musical concerts, all to create differing atmospheres and moods for students in attendance. •Became a sought after public speaker and teacher at numerous campus-wide events.•Recruited, mentored, and lead a core group of college students on the Collegelife planning team, whose main responsibility was planning and executing the weekly campus gathering.

•Planned an implemented the “I’m Sorry” Campaign and published the viral blog post “I Hugged a Man in His Underwear,” which had over 142 million views worldwide on BBC, Huffington Post, Sydney Herald, Buzzfeed, and more. Became the impetus, along with my thesis, for my book, Embracing Love. •Developed and implemented a Mentorship Program for LGBTQ youth that partnered young LGBT individuals with those who had been a part of the community for decades. •Redesigned and restructured continuing education class called The Culture War Curriculum, an 85-page workshop document that included resource list, biographical information, handouts, and talking points for presenter. •Together with other staff, collaborated to create large-scale events and concerts, led and facilitated the Living in the Tension Community Gatherings that impacted hundreds of people each year in Chicago, and taught educational workshops providing care for LGBT individuals and family members. •Provided pastoral care for LGBT individuals, family members, and pastors.

•Graded exams, quizzes, essays, and homework assignments for Biblical and Theological Studies classes.•Redesigned and implemented the Biblical and Theological Studies department’s weekly class quizzes.

•Served as the main chaplain in a diverse and fast-paced environment on the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit assisting patients and family members in times of trauma and grief.•Collaborated with religiously diverse and interfaith chaplains to provide spiritual care and complete necessary hospital protocol during times of surgeries, procedures, or end of life situations.

•Performed lead roles in dozens of musicals throughout the U.S. entertaining more than quarter of a million people. •Provided acting classes, training, and entertainment to audiences.
