As an author ofCapitalism & Community: A Partnership for a Better Tomorrow, Austin desires to knock down geographic barriers by helping world-wide small businesses and community organizations. Nearly every major city across the globe faces similar challenges, and Austin wants to inspire EVERY small business around the world to connect with ONE community organization and donate their product or service. To truly make a difference, business and community need to coexist and intentionally strive toward mutual success.Austin works to practice the Capitalism & Community message as he serves on the board of Cookie Cart where they provide life & job skills through youth employment at Twin Cities bakeries. He is active in the business community, and speaks locally, and internationally at association conferences, trade shows, and industry peer events. Austin also served as a facilitator of a small business owner group for seven years with the Heartland Technology Group (HTG) peer organization. Recently married to his beautiful wife Shaina, Austin is learning how to be a good husband and enjoys spending time at their home in Minnesota. For balance and recreation, Austin enjoys running, travel, fishing, golfing, reading and snowboarding.
